This workshop is organised for all ArtEZ master's students and is part of the ArtEZ programme Doing (Artistic) Research Days 24/25. With this programme, we showcase the diversity of research within ArtEZ. It shows projects by researchers, students, lecturers, professorships, APRIA, ArtEZ library Arnhem and Studium Generale in collaboration with (inter)national makers and researchers. This workshop will be hosted by Lu Lin (ArtEZ alumna Critical Fashion Practices master).
Practical tools and tactics to support long-term practices
How can we sustain an evolving practice that grows over time? How do we engage with "living" concepts that adapt to changing contexts? And what tools can we use to explore and develop an ongoing artistic research subject? This workshop will explore these questions by examining various approaches to ongoing artistic research, providing practical tools and tactics to support long-term practices.
Research subjects that are not static, evolving as living concepts
During the workshop participants will learn how to identify and engage with research subjects that are not static, evolving as "living concepts" throughout their artistic research and practice. Through hands-on exercises and discussions, they will work with a situated research subject, connecting their practice to the world around them and exploring alternative ways of thinking, researching, and creating.
These are meetings specially organised for master students. Master students can register via the form on this page.
