Percussionist, motivator and educator Fedor Teunisse (1972) is the artistic director of Slagwerk Den Haag (SDH) and of Asko │ Schönberg. He also works as a lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Teunisse’s Slagwerk Den Haag aims to approach contemporary music with great openness and inventiveness. This is put into practice through a broad variety of projects: community arts projects, youth programmes, multidisciplinary performances, concert programmes drawing on the complete western percussion repertoire and programmes featuring newly written work.
