Monique Peperkamp is currently conducting PhD research at ASCA, and she is a member of the ArtEZ kenniskring of the Professorship in Theory in the Arts. Educated as an artist, and as an art historian at the UvA, she has worked for over a decade as a coach, lecturer and teacher in art theory. The research she is conducting was funded by an NWO grant for teachers. The working title is Past Nature in Contemporary Art and New Materialisms: How Art and Philosophy Interact, and it is motivated by social and ecological concerns, connected to the question of the power of art.
